Refined, Relaxed, and Ready to Live In: A Thoughtful Bedford Home Renovation

A new project with a new client is always an exciting occasion, often with a few bumps and tentative steps along the way. But this one was different. Working with Raina & Haley from Home Edit 306 felt natural from the start, and the shoot reflected the ease and energy of that collaboration.

When I first stepped into this Bedford, NH home, it was clear the renovation had been handled with professionalism and care—clean lines, crisp light, and a sense of balance that you feel more than see. This shoot focused on a group of spaces brought together seamlessly: the kitchen, mudroom, wine bar, and powder room.

Each space was designed with intention and styled for everyday life. My role was to highlight the beauty without overstating it.

Harmonizing Design and Photography

This project was all about restraint. Raina designed a space that feels serene, coastal, and lived-in—but never cluttered. I leaned into natural textures, subtle reflections, and a rhythm of vertical and horizontal lines to create compositions that felt relaxed but refined.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the shoot was working with the gentle and bold blues featured throughout the rooms. These tones—ranging from soft powder to deeper navy—could easily have overpowered the space. But through careful placement, thoughtful accents, and a sense of spatial rhythm, we harmonized the blues to support the room’s flow and balance. In camera, I used the blues as visual anchors—drawing attention to layered textures, echoing forms, and clean silhouettes.

Working with Home Edit and Jared Parker

To complement Raina’s design, I brought in photo stylist Jared Parker to bring more life, color, and story to the magnificent space. With subtle and thoughtful placement of everyday objects that worked seamlessly in the environment, his work helped the home breathe. The result is a sense that you’re in the room with us—having just finished a glass of wine or about to slice into a summer cake.

The result is a set of images that feel like a quiet invitation. This is a home that welcomes you in, not with grandeur, but with grace. And that made it a pleasure to photograph.
